Twelve days in Dalmatia for your group: 9 nights half board in Vodice, Šibenik, the Krka waterfalls, Primošten and Zadar.
A lively resort in northern Dalmatia, Vodice faces a string of small islands and has a long seafront promenade lined with cafés and beaches. About fifteen kilometres away, Šibenik reveals St James’s Cathedral, a white-stone masterpiece listed by UNESCO, whose apse is decorated with a frieze of 71 carved heads. Krka National Park offers the spectacle of its stepped waterfalls, including the famous Skradinski buk, while Primošten, built on a peninsula, overlooks terraced vineyards. Zadar, with its Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun, completes the programme, with an optional boat trip to the Kornati islands. Your group chooses the date and departure point; we balance the stay between beach, discoveries and rest.
Programme
Day 1: Departure for Croatia
- Departure in the late afternoon from the place of your choice.
- Overnight journey to Croatia with two drivers on board (double crew) and a break of at least 30 minutes every 3 hours of driving.
- Option with an overnight stop in Germany or Austria on the way there and back (on request).
Day 2: Arrival in Vodice
- Arrival in the early afternoon and check-in at the 3-star hotel in Vodice for 9 nights, half board (full board on request).
- First stroll along the seafront and around the harbour.
Day 3: Vodice and its promenade
- Free morning at the beach.
- Walk along the seafront, lined with cafés and beaches, facing the small islands of the Šibenik archipelago.
Day 4: Šibenik
- Coach excursion to Šibenik.
- Guided tour of the old town and St James’s Cathedral, a UNESCO site, with its frieze of 71 carved heads (on request).
- Climb up to St Michael’s Fortress for views over the town and the archipelago.
- Free afternoon at the beach.
Day 5: Krka National Park
- Coach excursion to Krka National Park, via the little port of Skradin.
- Walk on the wooden boardwalks around Skradinski buk, the park’s most famous waterfall.
- Free afternoon at the beach.
Day 6: Free day
- Free day at the beach and on the promenade (drivers’ rest day).
Day 7: Primošten
- Coach excursion to Primošten, an old town built on a peninsula and surrounded by terraced vineyards.
- Tasting of babić, the red wine of Primošten, in a local cellar (on request).
- Free afternoon at the beach.
Day 8: The Kornati islands
- Day trip by boat to Kornati National Park (on request).
- Or a free day at the beach.
Day 9: Zadar
- Coach excursion to Zadar: the Roman forum, St Donatus’ Church, the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun.
Day 10: Free day
- Free day to enjoy the beach and the hotel.
Day 11: Departure for Belgium
- Breakfast and a free morning, then departure in the early afternoon.
- Overnight journey back to Belgium with a double crew and regular breaks.
Day 12: Arrival home
- Arrival in your home area during the morning.
