Twelve days in Dalmatia: 9 nights half board in Trogir or Čiovo, Split, Krka, Omiš and optional island trips.

Built on an islet between the mainland and the island of Čiovo, Trogir is a small museum town listed by UNESCO, with medieval lanes, St Lawrence’s Cathedral with its portal carved by Master Radovan, and the Kamerlengo fortress facing the sea. Your group stays in Trogir or on Čiovo, linked to the old town by a bridge, close to coves and beaches. Split is only half an hour away: you stroll through the palace of Emperor Diocletian, where life goes on within the Roman walls, before relaxing on the Riva. The programme also includes the waterfalls of Krka National Park, Omiš at the mouth of the Cetina and, as an option, a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon and the island of Šolta. You choose the date and departure point, and we organise a well-balanced stay between sea and sightseeing.

Programme

Day 1: Departure for Croatia

  • Departure in the late afternoon from the place of your choice.
  • Overnight journey to Croatia with two drivers on board (double crew) and a break of at least 30 minutes every 3 hours of driving.
  • Option with an overnight stop in Germany or Austria on the way there and back (on request).

Day 2: Arrival in Trogir

  • Arrival in the early afternoon and check-in at the 3-star hotel in Trogir or on the island of Čiovo for 9 nights, half board (full board on request).
  • First stroll along Trogir’s Riva, facing the Kamerlengo fortress.

Day 3: Trogir, a museum town

  • Guided tour of the old town, a UNESCO site, and St Lawrence’s Cathedral with its portal carved by Master Radovan (on request).
  • Free time in the medieval lanes.
  • Free afternoon at the beach.

Day 4: Split and Diocletian’s Palace

  • Coach excursion to Split, half an hour from Trogir.
  • Guided tour of Diocletian’s Palace: the Peristyle, the Vestibule and St Domnius Cathedral (on request).
  • Free time on the Riva, with an optional walk up Marjan hill.

Day 5: Free day

  • Free day at the beach and on the promenade (drivers’ rest day).

Day 6: Krka National Park

  • Coach excursion to Krka National Park, via the little port of Skradin.
  • Walk on the wooden boardwalks around Skradinski buk, the park’s most famous waterfall.
  • Stop in Šibenik on the way back, below St James’s Cathedral, a UNESCO site.

Day 7: Omiš and the Cetina

  • Coach excursion to Omiš, a former pirate town at the mouth of the Cetina.
  • Boat trip into the Cetina canyon (on request).
  • Free afternoon at the beach.

Day 8: Blue Lagoon and the island of Šolta

  • Boat trip to the Blue Lagoon near the island of Drvenik Veli and to the island of Šolta (on request).
  • Or a free day at the beach.

Day 9: The beaches of Čiovo

  • Free day on the beaches of Čiovo, such as the one at Okrug Gornji.

Day 10: Free day

  • Free day to enjoy the beach and the hotel.

Day 11: Departure for Belgium

  • Breakfast and a free morning, then departure in the early afternoon.
  • Overnight journey back to Belgium with a double crew and regular breaks.

Day 12: Arrival home

  • Arrival in your home area during the morning.

Good to know

  • Departure and return times are adapted to your group’s pick-up point; bring a cushion and comfortable clothes for the overnight journey.

  • Swimwear, towel, sun cream and water shoes for the pebble and rocky beaches; stays possible from May to October; currency: euro.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
