A 3-day stay in Ostend for your group: the promenade, the Royal Galleries, the Mercator tall ship and the fish stalls on the Fishermen’s Quay.

Nicknamed the “queen of beaches”, Ostend has kept the elegance of the days when Leopold II made it his favourite resort. Your group strolls along the long promenade, from the Kursaal to the Royal Galleries, a colonnade built under the builder king, and past his large equestrian statue. In the marina, the three-masted Mercator, a former Belgian navy training ship, can be visited as a museum, as can the Amandine, a former trawler that tells the story of fishing off Iceland. Along the Fishermen’s Quay, the fish stalls offer brown shrimps, smoked mackerel and sea snails to taste on the spot. The painter James Ensor, a son of the town, and the Church of St Peter and St Paul round off a short seaside break on half board.
