A seaside day trip to De Panne and Oostduinkerke for your group: shrimp fishermen on horseback, dunes, the NAVIGO museum, sand yachting and the beach.
On the western part of the Belgian coast, De Panne and Oostduinkerke have kept vast beaches and the finest dune landscapes on the coastline. In Oostduinkerke, the last shrimp fishermen on horseback carry on a tradition inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list. Your group can also discover the NAVIGO fishing museum or try sand yachting on the wide beach of De Panne.
Programme
- Morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Arrival in Oostduinkerke and a demonstration of shrimp fishing on horseback, depending on the tide and outing calendar.
- Visit to the NAVIGO museum, dedicated to fishing in the North Sea (on request).
- Group lunch in a restaurant on the promenade (on request), otherwise lunch at leisure.
- Short drive to De Panne and a walk through the dunes of the Westhoek nature reserve.
- Introduction to sand yachting on the beach of De Panne, with instructors (on request).
- Free time on the beach or on the promenade.
- Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Good to know
- Departure and return times are adapted to your group's pick-up point; fishing on horseback depends on the tides and does not take place every day.
- Bring swimwear, a towel, sun cream, a windbreaker and shoes suited to the sand of the dunes.
- A valid identity card is required; group leaders remain responsible for minors during free time.
