Medulin for senior groups: southern Istria, the Pula Arena, Vodnjan, Fažana and Rovinj (9 days)

Day 1: Departure and stopover in southern Germany

• Morning departure from the place of your choice.
• Regular breaks along the way: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Coffee break on the way and lunch at your own pace at a service area.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel in southern Germany, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Arrival in Medulin

• Breakfast, then onward journey with regular breaks.
• Through Austria and Slovenia, arriving in Istria in the late afternoon.
• Check-in at the hotel close to the sea for 6 nights, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Beach and relaxation

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Free day by the sea.
• In the late afternoon, a stroll along the Medulin seafront.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Roman Pula

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Short drive to Pula (about 15 minutes).
• Guided tour of Pula: the Roman amphitheatre, the Temple of Augustus on the forum and the Arch of the Sergii (on request).
• Free time at the covered market and on the terraces in the centre.
• Return to Medulin in the early afternoon and free afternoon.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Free day

• Free day (the driver’s rest day): beach, swimming, a nap or a walk by the water.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Vodnjan and Fažana

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Vodnjan, a large Istrian village among olive groves, dominated by the tallest bell tower in Istria.
• Olive oil tasting at a mill or estate in Vodnjan (on request).
• On to Fažana, a little fishing port facing the Brijuni islands, and free time on the quay.
• Lunch of grilled sardines, a Fažana speciality (on request).
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Rovinj

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Rovinj (about 45 minutes).
• Stroll around the harbour and the colourful old town; optional walk up the cobbled lanes to the church of St Euphemia at the top.
• Boat trip around the Rovinj archipelago (on request).
• Return to Medulin in the late afternoon, last dinner at the hotel.

Day 8: Over the Alps to southern Germany

• Breakfast, then through Slovenia and Austria with regular breaks.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel in southern Germany, dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Return to Belgium

• Breakfast, then the last leg to Belgium with regular breaks.
• Arrival back in your region in the evening.
