Four Christmas days in the heart of Belgium: Brussels, Ghent, Bruges and Antwerp, from a single hotel with a lift.

This trip brings together the country’s finest Christmas markets, with a single hotel for the whole stay. Brussels opens the festivities with Winter Wonders, the Christmas tree and the sound and light show on the Grand-Place. Ghent and Bruges, with their belfries, canals and illuminated chalets, offer a winter fairy-tale atmosphere. Antwerp closes the trip with its Grote Markt, the Brabo Fountain and Rubens’s cathedral. Each day includes a short guided tour, a reserved lunch in the warm and free time, with a return to the hotel in the early evening.

Programme

Day 1: Brussels

  • Departure in the morning from the pick-up point of your choice.
  • Comfortable coach journey; our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival in Brussels in the late morning.
  • Reserved lunch near the Grand-Place (on request)
  • Free time at Winter Wonders, from the Bourse to Place Sainte-Catherine.
  • Sound and light show on the Grand-Place at nightfall.
  • Drive to Ghent and check-in at the hotel for 3 nights, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Bruges

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Drive to Bruges.
  • Guided tour of the historic centre: Markt, Burg Square and the béguinage (on request)
  • Reserved lunch in the centre (on request)
  • Free time at the Christmas market on the Markt and Simon Stevin Square.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Ghent

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Quiet morning, then discovery of Ghent.
  • Guided visit of St Bavo’s Cathedral and the Mystic Lamb altarpiece (on request)
  • Reserved lunch in the centre (on request)
  • Free time at the Christmas market in the city centre.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Antwerp and return

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Drive to Antwerp.
  • Guided tour of the centre: Grote Markt, town hall and Cathedral of Our Lady (on request)
  • Reserved lunch in the old town (on request)
  • Free time at the Christmas market on the Grote Markt and Groenplaats.
  • Return journey in the late afternoon, arriving back in your area in the evening.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
