Durbuy at Christmas: lit-up stone lanes, chalets, the banks of the Ourthe and Ardennes treats, at a relaxed pace.

Nestled in a bend of the Ourthe, Durbuy likes to call itself “the smallest town in the world”. In December, its blue-stone lanes are decked with lights and host a Christmas market on certain weekends, depending on the year’s programme. Your group enjoys a seated lunch with Ardennes flavours, then a gentle stroll to the riverbank below the castle. A tasty stop at the village jam maker and free time among the chalets round off this relaxed day. The lanes are cobbled and the centre is tiny: there is little walking, but take care in wet weather.

Programme

Good to know

  • A valid identity card is required; departure and return times are adapted to your pick-up point.
  • Walking level: easy (very small centre, cobbled lanes that can be slippery when wet: good shoes are recommended).
  • Christmas markets run from late November to late December, to be checked each year; wheelchairs and reduced mobility: please let us know when booking.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
