Makarska Riviera: Split, the island of Brač, Omiš and Brela (12 days)

Day 1: Departure and overnight stopover (southern Germany)

• Morning departure from the place of your choice.
• Journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (southern Germany), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Journey and overnight stopover (Slovenia)

• Breakfast, then journey with regular breaks.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (Slovenia), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Arrival in Makarska

• Breakfast, then the last part of the journey with regular breaks.
• Afternoon arrival, check-in at the hotel for 7 nights, dinner.

Day 4: Makarska, harbour and promenade

• Guided walk in Makarska: the harbour, St Mark's Church and the Franciscan monastery with its shell museum (on request).
• Free afternoon on the beach or along the seafront promenade.
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5: Split and Diocletian's Palace

• Coastal drive to Split.
• Guided tour of Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Cathedral of St Domnius (on request).
• Lunch in an old-town restaurant (on request).
• Free time on the Riva, then return to Makarska.

Day 6: Free day in Makarska

• Free day (driver's rest day): beach, promenade and market.
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: The island of Brač

• Ferry crossing with the coach from Makarska to Sumartin, on the island of Brač.
• Drive across the island, among olive groves and white stone walls, to Bol and Zlatni rat beach.
• Lunch in a restaurant on the island (on request).
• Ferry back to Makarska in the late afternoon.

Day 8: Omiš and the Cetina river

• Short drive to Omiš, a former pirate town at the mouth of the Cetina canyon.
• Boat trip on the Cetina river, between the cliffs (on request).
• Lunch by the river (on request).
• Return to Makarska in the afternoon.

Day 9: Brela and a relaxing day

• Free morning in Makarska.
• In the afternoon, short drive to Brela and an easy walk under the pines along its beaches.
• Last evening in Makarska; dinner at the hotel.

Day 10: Leaving Makarska, overnight stopover (Slovenia)

• Breakfast, then return journey with regular breaks.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (Slovenia), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Journey and overnight stopover (southern Germany)

• Breakfast, then journey with regular breaks.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (southern Germany), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12: Return to Belgium

• Breakfast, then return journey with regular breaks.
• Evening return to your home area.
