A 9-day stay on the island of Lošinj: colourful harbours, pine forests, the Apoxyomenos Museum, Adriatic dolphins and Cres.

For a peaceful stay far from the bustle of the big resorts, the islands of Cres and Lošinj are a real treat. The coach boards the ferry at Brestova, crosses the island of Cres and then the small bridge at Osor to reach Lošinj, where your group stays six nights in a 3-star hotel with lift, on half board. Mali Lošinj, with its harbour at the end of a bay and its colourful façades, is home to the Apoxyomenos Museum, a Greek bronze statue recovered from the sea off the island. In Veli Lošinj, a marine education centre presents the dolphins living in these waters. The walks under the pines of Čikat Bay are easy and shaded, and a free day leaves time to enjoy the sea in complete tranquillity.

Programme

Day 1: Departure and overnight stopover (southern Germany)

  • Morning departure from the place of your choice.
  • Journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (southern Germany), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Arrival in Lošinj

  • Breakfast, then the last part of the journey with regular breaks.
  • Ferry crossing from Brestova to Porozina, then drive across the island of Cres and over the Osor bridge to Lošinj.
  • Afternoon arrival, check-in at the hotel for 6 nights, dinner.

Day 3: Mali Lošinj and the Apoxyomenos Museum

  • Guided tour of Mali Lošinj and its harbour (on request).
  • Visit of the Apoxyomenos Museum, devoted to a Greek bronze statue found in the sea near the island.
  • Free afternoon; walk under the pines of Čikat Bay.

Day 4: Veli Lošinj and the dolphins

  • Short drive to Veli Lošinj, a small sea captains' harbour of unspoilt charm.
  • Visit of the marine education centre devoted to the dolphins of the Adriatic.
  • Fish lunch on the harbour (on request).
  • Return to the hotel in the early afternoon and free time.

Day 5: Free day on Lošinj

  • Free day (driver's rest day): swimming, seafront walk and the terraces of Mali Lošinj.
  • Dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: Boat trip to the small islands

  • Day cruise from Mali Lošinj to the neighbouring islands, such as Susak and its fine sand (on request).
  • Lunch on board or on an island (on request).
  • Return to the harbour in the late afternoon; free day for those who prefer to stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Osor and the island of Cres

  • Drive to Osor, a tiny former bishop's town on the canal between Cres and Lošinj.
  • Continue to the town of Cres, with its Venetian harbour and lanes.
  • Lunch of island lamb in a local restaurant (on request).
  • Return to Lošinj in the late afternoon.

Day 8: Leaving Lošinj, overnight stopover (southern Germany)

  • Breakfast, then return journey with regular breaks.
  • Ferry crossing from Porozina to Brestova on the way.
  • Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (southern Germany), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Return to Belgium

  • Breakfast, then return journey with regular breaks.
  • Evening return to your home area.

Good to know

  • Valid identity card and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for each participant.
  • Departure and return times adapted to your group's pick-up point; stay offered from May to late September, dates to be checked each year. From 20 participants, price on quotation.
  • Walking level: easy (short walks, some cobbled lanes); a meeting time at the coach is set each day with the driver.
  • Currency: euro. Bring comfortable clothes for the journey, a hat and sun cream.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
