An 8-day stay on the beach at Jesolo, with Venice across the lagoon, the islands of Murano and Burano and St Anthony's in Padua.

Jesolo offers the best of both worlds: a large fine-sand beach to relax on, and Venice within reach by boat. Your group stays five nights in a 3-star hotel with lift, on half board, after a stopover night on the way out. To reach Venice, the coach drops you at Punta Sabbioni, from where a boat crosses the lagoon to St Mark's Square: an unforgettable, effortless arrival. Another day is devoted to the lagoon islands, Murano and its glassblowers, Burano and its multicoloured houses. In Padua, the Basilica of St Anthony and the vast Prato della Valle square complete a stay at a gentle pace, with a free day by the sea.

Programme

Day 1: Departure and overnight stopover (southern Germany)

  • Morning departure from the place of your choice.
  • Journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (southern Germany), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Arrival in Jesolo

  • Breakfast, then the last part of the journey with regular breaks.
  • Afternoon arrival, check-in at the hotel for 5 nights, dinner.

Day 3: Venice across the lagoon

  • Short drive to Punta Sabbioni, then boat across the lagoon to St Mark's Square.
  • Guided tour of Venice: St Mark's Square and Basilica, Doge's Palace (outside) and Rialto Bridge (on request).
  • Lunch in a Venetian restaurant (on request).
  • Free time, then return by boat and coach to Jesolo.

Day 4: Free day in Jesolo

  • Free day (driver's rest day): beach, pedestrian promenade and the resort's terraces.
  • Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5: The islands of Murano and Burano

  • Short drive to Punta Sabbioni, then private boat to the lagoon islands (on request).
  • Glassblowing demonstration in a Murano workshop.
  • Stroll in Burano, the island of lacemakers and colourful houses.
  • Fish lunch in Burano (on request).
  • Return to Jesolo in the late afternoon.

Day 6: Padua, city of St Anthony

  • Drive to Padua.
  • Guided tour of the Basilica of St Anthony and the historic centre (on request).
  • Walk on Prato della Valle, one of the largest squares in Italy.
  • Visit of the Scrovegni Chapel and its Giotto frescoes, by reservation (on request).
  • Return to Jesolo for the last evening.

Day 7: Leaving Jesolo, overnight stopover (southern Germany)

  • Breakfast, then return journey with regular breaks.
  • Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (southern Germany), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Return to Belgium

  • Breakfast, then return journey with regular breaks.
  • Evening return to your home area.

Good to know

  • Valid identity card and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for each participant.
  • Departure and return times adapted to your group's pick-up point; stay offered from May to late September, dates to be checked each year. From 20 participants, price on quotation.
  • Walking level: moderate (sloping lanes and some steps in the old towns); every visit can be shortened, and a meeting time at the coach is set each day.
  • Currency: euro. Bring comfortable clothes for the journey, a hat and sun cream.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
