Alassio for senior groups: Riviera of Flowers, Sanremo, Hanbury Gardens and Dolceacqua (9 days)

Day 1: Departure and overnight stopover (central Switzerland)

• Morning departure from the place of your choice.
• Journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (central Switzerland), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: The Gotthard and the Ligurian Riviera

• Breakfast, then drive via the Gotthard, Milan and the Ligurian coast, with regular breaks.
• Seated lunch on the way (on request).
• Late-afternoon arrival in Alassio and check-in at the hotel for 6 nights, dinner.

Day 3: Alassio and Laigueglia

• Free morning at the beach.
• Walk through the budello and on to the Muretto, a wall covered with tiles signed by celebrities.
• Flat seafront walk to the fishing village of Laigueglia (about 2 km); return by coach possible.
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: Sanremo and Bordighera

• Drive to Sanremo, the city of flowers.
• Stroll through the centre: Corso Matteotti, the Belle Époque casino and the Russian Orthodox church.
• Guided tour of the old town of La Pigna (on request); sloping lanes.
• Seated lunch (on request).
• In the afternoon, walk along Bordighera's palm-lined seafront, then return to Alassio.

Day 5: Free day in Alassio

• Free day (driver's rest day): beach, swimming and rest at the hotel.
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: Hanbury Gardens and Dolceacqua

• Drive to La Mortola, near Ventimiglia.
• Visit of the Hanbury Botanical Gardens, in terraces above the sea (on request); sloping paths and steps.
• Seated lunch (on request).
• In the afternoon, Dolceacqua: its humpback bridge painted by Monet and its Doria castle.
• Tasting of Rossese, the local red wine (on request).
• Return to Alassio and dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: Albenga

• Short drive to Albenga, 10 minutes away.
• Guided tour of the old town, its medieval towers and its early Christian baptistery (on request).
• Visit to the market or to a farm growing purple asparagus and herbs (on request).
• Free afternoon on Alassio beach, dinner at the hotel.

Day 8: Leaving Alassio, then journey to the stopover (central Switzerland)

• Breakfast, then departure via Milan and the Gotthard.
• Seated lunch on the way (on request).
• Return journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (central Switzerland), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Return to Belgium

• Breakfast, then return journey with regular breaks.
• Evening return to your home area.
