Four days in Hamburg: guided city tour, harbour cruise, the Speicherstadt warehouses and the shores of the Alster.
Germany’s second city, Hamburg lives to the rhythm of its great port on the Elbe and its Alster lakes lined with fine villas. Your group discovers the city comfortably seated on the coach with a guide, before walking along the brick warehouses of the UNESCO-listed Speicherstadt and reaching the Elbphilharmonie’s viewing plaza. A harbour cruise brings you close to container ships and docks without any effort. The next day is devoted to the Alster and the Blankenese district on the Elbe, at a gentle pace. A 3-star hotel with lift welcomes you for three nights on half board, with no change of hotel.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to Hamburg
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Lunch at a restaurant on the way (on request).
- Arrival in Hamburg in the late afternoon.
- Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: The harbour and the Speicherstadt
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided city tour by coach: town hall, Jungfernstieg, St Michael’s Church and HafenCity (on request).
- Walk along the canals of the Speicherstadt.
- Access to the Elbphilharmonie viewing plaza (with a timed ticket to be booked).
- Group lunch at a restaurant (on request).
- Harbour cruise of about one hour (on request).
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: The Alster and Blankenese
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Boat trip on the Alster lakes (on request).
- Free time in the city centre and its shopping arcades.
- Group lunch at a restaurant (on request).
- In the afternoon, drive to Blankenese and walk along the Elbe.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Return to Belgium
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Morning departure.
- Lunch at a restaurant on the way (on request).
- Return journey with regular breaks, arriving in your region in the evening.
