A team day in Zeeland: the Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier, a bike ride on the dykes and Yerseke oysters.

Zeeland tells a remarkable story of engineering and solidarity against the sea, perfect for inspiring a team. On the artificial island of Neeltje Jans, your staff discover the Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier, the centrepiece of the Delta Works built after the 1953 flood. A bike ride on the dykes, followed by an oyster and mussel tasting in the port of Yerseke, Zeeland’s seafood capital, rounds off the day in style. We handle everything on a turnkey basis: the coach from your company’s door, the activities, the bookings and the meals. The programme is tailored to your budget, your group size and the date of your choice, from 20 participants.

Programme

  • Departure from outside your company at the agreed time, by touring coach.
  • Drive to Zeeland; our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival at Neeltje Jans and visit to the exhibition on the Delta Works and the Eastern Scheldt barrier.
  • Team bike ride on the Eastern Scheldt dykes (on request).
  • Team seafood lunch (on request).
  • Drive to Yerseke, home port of oysters and mussels.
  • Oyster and mussel tasting at a producer (on request).
  • Stop in the old harbour of Zierikzee (on request).
  • Drive home.
  • Return to your company in the evening.

Good to know

  • A valid identity card is required for each participant; departure and return times are adapted to your company’s working hours.
  • Bring a windproof jacket and good shoes; the tasting depends on production seasons and special diets are possible on request.
  • Pick-up is possible at several departure points, for example at different sites of your company.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
