A 10-day tour of northern Poland: Toruń, Malbork Castle, Gdańsk and Sopot, the Masurian Lakes and Poznań.
Northern Poland offers wide open spaces and brick towns with a rich Hanseatic past. Your group discovers Toruń, birthplace of Copernicus and home of gingerbread, then Malbork Castle, the immense brick fortress of the Teutonic Knights listed by UNESCO. In Gdańsk, the Royal Route leads from house to house to the Neptune Fountain and the old harbour crane, before a stroll along Sopot’s long wooden pier. Masuria, land of a thousand lakes, then offers peaceful days among forests, boat trips and the dazzling baroque basilica of Święta Lipka. The return via Poznań and the famous goats of its town hall completes a trip as restful as it is cultural.
