Three Christmas days in the Rhine valley: the Koblenz markets, the Loreley, then the Rüdesheim Christmas Market of Nations.

The UNESCO-listed Upper Middle Rhine Valley is one of Germany’s most beautiful landscapes, with its hilltop castles and wine villages. Your group stays two nights in the same hotel and starts in Koblenz, where Christmas markets fill the squares of the old town, close to the Deutsches Eck at the confluence of the Rhine and the Moselle. The next day, the coach follows the river to the Loreley Rock before reaching Rüdesheim and its Christmas Market of Nations around the famous Drosselgasse. A Rüdesheim coffee, flambéed with the town’s brandy, can round off the day. You return on the third day, without any rush.

Day 1: Drive to Koblenz

  • Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice.
  • Coach journey with breaks: our drivers drive for no more than 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival in Koblenz around midday.
  • Lunch in a restaurant in the old town (on request).
  • Guided tour of the old town and the Deutsches Eck, at the confluence of the Rhine and the Moselle (on request).
  • Free time at the Christmas markets of the old town.
  • Check-in at a hotel in the Rhine valley for 2 nights, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: The Loreley and Rüdesheim

  • Breakfast, then a scenic drive along the Rhine, past castles and vineyards.
  • Stop at the Loreley plateau viewpoint, high above the river.
  • Lunch in a restaurant in Rüdesheim (on request).
  • Free afternoon at the Rüdesheim Christmas Market of Nations, in the lanes around the Drosselgasse.
  • Visit of Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Cabinet (Siegfrieds Mechanisches Musikkabinett) (on request).
  • Tasting of Rüdesheim coffee, made with the town’s brandy (on request).
  • Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Return to Belgium

  • Breakfast, then morning departure.
  • Coach journey with breaks: our drivers drive for no more than 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Lunch on the way (on request).
  • Return to your region in the evening.

  • Christmas markets run from late November to late December: dates to be checked each year; bring warm clothing.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
