A day in Münster during Advent: several Christmas markets in the old town, between the Prinzipalmarkt and St Lambert’s Church.

Münster, an elegant university city in Westphalia, hosts several small Christmas markets during Advent, all within a few steps of each other in the old town. Around St Lambert’s Church, near the town hall and along the arcades of the Prinzipalmarkt, each market has its own atmosphere. Your group can visit the Hall of Peace in the town hall, where the Peace of Münster, one of the treaties of Westphalia, was signed in 1648. The centre is flat and compact, ideal for an effortless day, with an optional restaurant lunch. You return in the evening after a last stroll between the chalets.

Programme

  • Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice.
  • Coach journey with breaks: our drivers drive for no more than 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival in Münster in late morning, as close to the old town as possible.
  • Guided tour of the old town: Prinzipalmarkt, St Paul’s Cathedral and St Lambert’s Church (on request).
  • Visit of the Hall of Peace in the historic town hall (on request).
  • Lunch in a restaurant in the old town (on request).
  • Free afternoon at the Christmas markets of the old town, around St Lambert’s Church and the town hall.
  • Departure in late afternoon, with regular breaks.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
