Three days in Bremen: the Market Square Christmas market, Schlachte-Zauber on the Weser, the Roland, the Town Musicians and the Schnoor.

Bremen, a Hanseatic city on the Weser, offers two Christmas atmospheres: the market on the Market Square, in front of the UNESCO-listed town hall and Roland statue, and the Schlachte-Zauber, a maritime market along the river. With a guide, your group discovers the Böttcherstraße and its porcelain carillon, the Town Musicians of Bremen statue and the low houses of the Schnoor quarter. The town hall’s historic wine cellar, the Ratskeller, is perfect for a tasting of German wines. Each afternoon leaves free time to stroll among the chalets, taste Bremer Klaben, the local Christmas cake, or warm up in a café. The centre is flat and easy to explore on foot, with a few cobblestones and the narrow lanes of the Schnoor.

Day 1: Journey to Bremen

  • Departure in the morning from the place of your choice.
  • Comfortable coach journey; our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Coffee break on the way.
  • Drive to northern Germany, with regular breaks.
  • Seated lunch on the way (on request)
  • Arrival in Bremen in mid-afternoon and check-in at the hotel.
  • First stroll at the Schlachte-Zauber, the Christmas market on the Weser.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Bremen, a Hanseatic city

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Guided tour: Market Square, town hall and Roland, Town Musicians of Bremen, Böttcherstraße and Schnoor quarter (on request)
  • Seated lunch in the centre (on request)
  • Free afternoon at the Christmas market on the Market Square.

Day 3: Return to Belgium

  • Breakfast and a last free moment for shopping.
  • Journey home, with regular breaks.

Good to know

  • A valid identity card is required; departure and return times are adapted to your pick-up point.
  • Walking level: easy (flat centre, some cobblestones, narrow lanes in the Schnoor; stairs down to the Ratskeller).
  • Christmas markets run from late November to late December, to be checked each year; wheelchairs and reduced mobility: please let us know when booking.
  • Bring your usual medication and your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC); currency: euro.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
