A team day in the heart of Holland: the 19 windmills of Kinderdijk by boat, then Gouda, its cheese and stroopwafels.

This outing brings together Holland’s great symbols in a single day, for a convivial moment that appeals to everyone. At Kinderdijk, your staff discover by boat the 19 eighteenth-century windmills listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, witnesses to the age-old battle against water. In Gouda, a cheese tasting and a team quiz in the old town, around the Gothic town hall and the weigh house, complete the day. We handle everything on a turnkey basis: the coach from your company’s door, the activities, the bookings and the meals. The programme is tailored to your budget, your group size and the date of your choice, from 20 participants.

Programme

  • Departure from outside your company at the agreed time, by touring coach.
  • Drive to Kinderdijk; our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival at Kinderdijk and visit to the windmill site.
  • Boat trip past the windmills.
  • Visit inside a museum windmill.
  • Team lunch in a local restaurant (on request).
  • Drive to Gouda.
  • Gouda cheese tasting at a cheese maker or producer (on request).
  • Team quiz in the old town, around the town hall and the weigh house (on request).
  • Free time to taste stroopwafels, which originated in Gouda, then drive home.
  • Return to your company in the evening.

Good to know

  • A valid identity card is required for each participant; departure and return times are adapted to your company’s working hours.
  • Bring good shoes and a windproof jacket; Gouda’s traditional cheese market takes place on Thursday mornings from April to August (dates to be checked).
  • Pick-up is possible at several departure points, for example at different sites of your company.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
