An 8-day tour of Poland: Wrocław and its bronze dwarfs, Książ Castle, the Churches of Peace and the Karkonosze Mountains.
In south-west Poland, Lower Silesia combines historic towns, castles and mountains, a day’s coach ride from Belgium with one overnight stop. Your group discovers Wrocław, with its great Market Square and Gothic town hall, its islands on the Oder and the hundreds of little bronze dwarfs hidden in its streets. In Świdnica and Jawor, the Churches of Peace, huge timber-framed buildings listed by UNESCO, bear witness to the region’s religious history. Książ Castle, one of the largest in the country, rises above a deep forest, before arrival in the Karkonosze Mountains around Karpacz and its astonishing wooden temple brought from Norway. A varied tour of culture, nature and generous Polish cooking.
