Zeeland, the Delta and Breda for groups: the Delta Works, seafaring towns and the Biesbosch

Day 1 : Journey to Middelburg

• Morning departure from the location of your choice.
• Drive to Zeeland and arrival in Middelburg in the late morning.
• Discovery of Zeeland's capital: the Markt, the Gothic town hall and the abbey, dominated by the Lange Jan tower.
• Guided walking tour of the historic centre (on request).
• Check-in at the hotel in Zeeland.
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2 : The Delta Works

• Drive to the artificial island of Neeltje Jans, at the heart of the Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier (Oosterscheldekering).
• Visit to Deltapark Neeltje Jans and the inside of the barrier (on request).
• In the afternoon, visit to the Watersnoodmuseum in Ouwerkerk, housed in the caissons used to close the dykes in 1953 (on request).
• Return to the hotel.

Day 3 : Towns and flavours of Zeeland

• Stroll through Veere, a former trading port with its Church of Our Lady and its Scottish Houses.
• Crossing of the Zeelandbrug, a bridge more than 5 kilometres long over the Eastern Scheldt, and discovery of Zierikzee and its old harbour.
• Stop in Yerseke, Zeeland's mussel and oyster capital.
• Visit to an oyster farm with tasting (on request).
• Group dinner in a fish and seafood restaurant (on request).

Day 4 : Biesbosch National Park

• Drive to North Brabant and the Biesbosch National Park, one of the largest freshwater deltas in Europe.
• Boat trip through the creeks of the Biesbosch (on request).
• Visit to the Biesbosch MuseumEiland in Werkendam (on request).
• Check-in at the hotel in the Breda area.
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 5 : Breda and return

• Discovery of Breda: the Grote Markt, the Great Church of Our Lady, the beguinage and the Spanjaardsgat harbour gate.
• Guided tour of the city and the surroundings of Breda Castle (on request).
• Return journey in the mid-afternoon.
• Arrival back in your region in the evening.
