A 3-day city trip to Rotterdam and The Hague for your group: modern architecture, the port, the Mauritshuis and Scheveningen.

Rebuilt after the bombing of 1940, Rotterdam has become a testing ground for architecture: cube houses, the Markthal and the Erasmus Bridge over the Maas. Its port, one of the largest in Europe, is best seen from the water. In The Hague, seat of the Dutch government, your group walks along the Hofvijver, sees Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring at the Mauritshuis, then enjoys the sea air at Scheveningen.

Programme

Day 1 : Journey to Rotterdam

  • Morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive to Rotterdam and arrival in the late morning.
  • Discovery of the Markthal, its decorated vault and its stalls, then the nearby cube houses.
  • Guided architecture tour of Rotterdam (on request).
  • Check-in at the hotel.
  • Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2 : The Hague and Scheveningen

  • Drive to The Hague, half an hour away.
  • Guided tour of the centre of The Hague: the Hofvijver, the surroundings of the Binnenhof and the Plein (on request).
  • Visit to the Mauritshuis and its Dutch and Flemish masters (on request).
  • Afternoon in Scheveningen: walk along the promenade and the beach.
  • Group dinner in a fish restaurant in Scheveningen (on request).

Day 3 : The port of Rotterdam

  • Guided cruise around the port of Rotterdam (on request).
  • Walk across the Erasmus Bridge and along the Wilhelminapier, with its towers and the former Holland America Line headquarters.
  • Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
