2-day city trip to Tournai for your group: five-towered cathedral, belfry, Pont des Trous and the Tapestry Museum.
One of Belgium’s oldest cities, Tournai was the first capital of Clovis’s Franks. Your group discovers the Cathedral of Notre-Dame with its five towers and the belfry, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Along the Scheldt, the Pont des Trous bears witness to the medieval fortifications, while the Tapestry Museum recalls the craftsmanship that made the city famous.
Programme
Day 1: Tournai, city of five bell towers
- Morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Drive to western Hainaut, arriving in Tournai around midday.
- Guided walking tour: Grand-Place, Notre-Dame Cathedral and belfry (on request).
- Walk along the Scheldt to the Pont des Trous.
