A 3-day city trip to Ghent for your group: the Mystic Lamb, Gravensteen, Graslei and Korenlei, a boat trip and the Patershol.

Ghent, a lively university city, boasts along the Graslei and Korenlei quays one of the finest rows of façades in Flanders. St Bavo's Cathedral houses the Van Eyck brothers' Adoration of the Mystic Lamb, a masterpiece of 15th-century painting. Your group also discovers the Castle of the Counts, the Belfry and the lanes of the Patershol, a former craftsmen's quarter now known for its restaurants.

Programme

Day 1 : Journey to Ghent

  • Morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive to East Flanders and arrival in Ghent in the late morning.
  • A first walk along the Graslei, the Korenlei and St Michael's Bridge.
  • Guided walking tour of the historic centre (on request).
  • Check-in at the hotel.
  • Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2 : Treasures of Ghent

  • Visit to St Bavo's Cathedral and the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb (on request).
  • Visit to the Castle of the Counts, the Gravensteen (on request).
  • Boat trip on the Lys (on request).
  • Group dinner in the Patershol quarter (on request).

Day 3 : Vrijdagmarkt

  • Stroll around the Vrijdagmarkt and the shopping streets.
  • Discovery of cuberdons, Ghent's nose-shaped sweets, at a confectioner's in the centre.
  • Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Good to know

  • Departure and return times adapted to the pick-up point chosen by your group.
  • Ghent's centre is largely pedestrianised: the coach drops the group off nearby and the tour is on foot.
  • Access to the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb must be booked in advance: we take care of it as soon as the trip is confirmed.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
