A 3-day city trip to Texel for your group: ferry crossing, Ecomare's seals, dunes, the lighthouse and Oudeschild harbour.

Texel, the largest of the Dutch Wadden Islands, is reached in about twenty minutes by ferry from Den Helder, coach included. The island alternates between dunes, sandy beaches, polders where sheep graze and small villages such as Den Burg, Oudeschild and Den Hoorn. At the Ecomare centre, your group watches the seals cared for on site and discovers the nature of the Wadden Sea.

Programme

Day 1 : Journey to Texel

  • Morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive to Den Helder, at the tip of North Holland.
  • Ferry crossing to Texel with the coach.
  • First tour of the island and a stop in Den Burg, the main village.
  • Check-in at the hotel.
  • Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2 : Island tour

  • Visit to the Ecomare centre and its seals (on request).
  • Coach tour of the island with a local guide: dunes, De Cocksdorp lighthouse and polders (on request).
  • Stop at the fishing harbour of Oudeschild.
  • Boat trip to watch the seals on the sandbanks, depending on the tide (on request).
  • Group dinner featuring island specialities, including Texel lamb (on request).

Day 3 : Den Hoorn and return

  • Stroll in Den Hoorn, a village of captains' houses, or on the beach at De Koog.
  • Ferry crossing back to Den Helder.
  • Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Good to know

  • Times adapted to your group's pick-up point; early morning departure, as the drive to the Den Helder ferry is long.
  • A valid identity card is required for every traveller, including children.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
