10-day coach holiday from Belgium with a hotel in Montecatini Terme: Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, the Cinque Terre and Chianti.
Ten days in the heart of Tuscany without changing hotels: you unpack only once, in Montecatini Terme, an elegant spa town ideally located between Florence, Pisa and Lucca. Every day, an excursion of less than an hour and a half's drive takes you to one of Italy's treasures: Florence and its Duomo, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the walls of Lucca, Siena's Piazza del Campo and the towers of San Gimignano. You sail along the Cinque Terre coast, taste Chianti wine on a wine estate and discover Vinci, Leonardo's birthplace. The two long journeys are made overnight, so you can make the most of your stay.
Programme
- Day 1: late-afternoon departure from your pick-up point, night on the coach.
- Day 2: arrival in Montecatini Terme around 10.00 am. Afternoon: funicular up to the old village of Montecatini Alto. Night in Montecatini.
- Day 3: Florence. Guided tour: Duomo, Baptistery, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio. Free afternoon. Night in Montecatini.
- Day 4: guided tour of Pisa and its Piazza dei Miracoli, then Lucca and its walls. Night in Montecatini.
- Day 5: guided tour of Siena and the Piazza del Campo, then San Gimignano, the town of towers. Night in Montecatini.
- Day 6: the Cinque Terre. Boat cruise along the coast with stops in Vernazza and Monterosso. Night in Montecatini.
- Day 7: free morning. Afternoon: Vinci, Leonardo's birthplace, among the olive groves. Night in Montecatini.
- Day 8: Chianti. Visit of a wine estate with tasting and lunch, then Greve in Chianti. Night in Montecatini.
- Day 9: free day in Montecatini Terme. Departure around 5.00 pm, night on the coach.
- Day 10: arrival in Belgium in the morning.

Good to know
- Valid identity card required.
- The Montecatini tourist tax (a few euros per night) is paid locally at the hotel.
- Rooms are available in the early afternoon on day 2 and must be vacated on the morning of day 9: your luggage stays on the coach.
- In rough seas, the Cinque Terre boat is replaced by the coastal train.
- Shoulders and knees must be covered to enter churches.
- Wear comfortable shoes: the historic centres are visited on foot.
- For the nights on the coach, bring a travel pillow and a small blanket.
- Single room available on request, with a supplement.
