A remembrance trip that stays with you for life, in a royal city full of young people: Kraków, Auschwitz-Birkenau and Wieliczka.
This final-year school trip makes the duty of remembrance a powerful, well-prepared moment: a whole day is devoted to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, with a Memorial guide. The rest of the stay takes in Kraków, the former royal capital whose centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Wawel Hill, the Kazimierz district and the Wieliczka Salt Mine. Departure on Sunday afternoon or evening: the outward and return journeys are made overnight, with two drivers taking turns (double crew), a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving and a stop in Wrocław on the way back. The pace also leaves room for discussion, supervised free time and the lively atmosphere of the old town.

Good to know
- Valid identity card or passport and signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18; the European Health Insurance Card is strongly recommended.
- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. On overnight journeys, two drivers take turns on board (double crew), which avoids any hotel night along the way.
- Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach).
- The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); the visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau must be booked well in advance with the group's list of names.
- Recommended period: the autumn, Carnival or spring holidays, or a school week outside the holidays; booking recommended 6 to 9 months in advance, or even earlier to secure the preferred time slot at the Memorial. Appropriate dress and respectful behaviour are required at Auschwitz; preparation in class is strongly recommended. The currency is the zloty (PLN) and Polish winters are cold: bring warm clothes.
