The best of both worlds: five nights in Barcelona, a full day of thrills at PortAventura Park, Roman Tarragona and the beach, with no time lost on the road.

Staying in or just outside Barcelona, your pupils discover the Catalan capital over two days: Gaudí's Sagrada Família, the Passeig de Gràcia, La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter and Barceloneta beach. The programme also includes a full day of thrills at PortAventura Park, one of the largest leisure resorts in Europe, with Ferrari Land as an option, and a day in Tarragona, ancient Tarraco, whose Roman remains are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Modernist art, Roman history, the Spanish language and real moments of celebration together: a complete trip, always supervised by the teachers. The departure date and time are set with the school in the quote, according to its calendar; as Barcelona is about 1,300 km away, the outward and return journeys are made in one go, overnight, with two drivers taking turns (double crew) and a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving.

Good to know

  • Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure.
  • Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. As Barcelona is about 1,300 km away, the journey is made in one go, overnight, with two drivers taking turns on board (double crew), which avoids any hotel night along the way.
  • Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time).
  • The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
  • Recommended period: the spring holidays (PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land are closed in winter, usually from early January to mid-March) or the autumn holidays, with booking 6 to 9 months in advance (the interior visit of the Sagrada Família, if you choose it, is booked for a fixed time slot); in Barcelona, pickpockets target tourist areas and the metro: keep bags closed and carried in front, and phones in an inside pocket. Lunches are not included: allow a budget of around €10–15 per pupil per day; on request, the hotel can provide packed lunches for excursion days.
