2-day city trip to Nijmegen for your group: Valkhof Park, Grote Markt, the Waal quays and the Liberation Museum in Groesbeek.
Founded by the Romans, Nijmegen claims the title of the oldest city in the Netherlands. Your group climbs up to Valkhof Park, where a chapel from Charlemagne’s time still stands, strolls around the Grote Markt and along the Lange Hezelstraat, then heads down to the lively quays of the Waal. The next day, the wooded hills of Groesbeek recall the airborne operations of September 1944 and the liberation of the region.
