A 10-day beach holiday in Salou for your group, with 7 nights on the Costa Dorada, Roman Tarragona, Cambrils and the Ebro Delta as an option.

On the Costa Dorada, in southern Catalonia, Salou owes its name of “golden coast” to its long, gently sloping beaches of fine sand. Your group enjoys a week of beach and strolling, on a half-board or full-board basis in a hotel near the sea. The excursions lead to the Roman remains of Tarragona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and to the fishing port of Cambrils, with PortAventura and the Ebro Delta as options. An overnight stop in the Lyon area, on the way there and back, makes the journey more comfortable.

Programme

Day 1 : Journey to the Lyon area

  • Early morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive through Luxembourg, Lorraine and Burgundy, with regular stops.
  • Overnight stop at a hotel in the Lyon area, dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 : Arrival in Salou

  • Breakfast and drive through the Rhône valley, Languedoc and Catalonia, with regular stops.
  • Arrival in Salou in the late afternoon.
  • Check-in for 7 nights at a 3-star hotel near the beach, half board (full board on request).
  • Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3 : Salou and its promenade

  • Free morning on the beach.
  • Walk along the palm-lined Passeig de Jaume I to the illuminated fountain.
  • Stroll along the coastal path to the coves of Cala Crancs and the lighthouse.
  • Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 : Roman Tarragona

  • Drive to Tarragona, the ancient Tarraco, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Walk through the old town to the cathedral and the Balcony of the Mediterranean.
  • Guided tour of the Roman remains: the amphitheatre facing the sea, the circus and the archaeological promenade along the ramparts (on request).
  • Return to Salou and free afternoon on the beach.

Day 5 : Free day or PortAventura

  • Free day on the beach and on the promenade (rest day for the driver).
  • A day at the PortAventura World theme park, next to Salou (on request).

Day 6 : Cambrils

  • Short drive to Cambrils, a fishing port renowned for its fish and seafood restaurants.
  • Walk along the harbour and the seafront.
  • Group fish and seafood lunch in Cambrils (on request).
  • Free afternoon on the beach in Salou.

Day 7 : The Ebro Delta or a day on the beach

  • Day trip to the Ebro Delta: rice fields, lagoons and birds of the nature park (on request).
  • Boat trip to the mouth of the Ebro (on request).
  • For groups who prefer to stay put, a free day in Salou.

Day 8 : Last day by the sea

  • Free day on the beach and on the promenade.
  • Farewell dinner at the hotel.

Day 9 : Journey to the Lyon area

  • Breakfast and departure from Salou.
  • Drive to France, with regular stops.
  • Overnight stop at a hotel in the Lyon area, dinner at the hotel.

Day 10 : Return to Belgium

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Return journey through Burgundy and Lorraine, with regular stops.
  • Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
