A 2-day trip to the Strasbourg and Colmar Christmas markets for your group: the Christkindelsmärik on Place Broglie, the giant Christmas tree on Place Kléber and illuminated Little Venice.

Strasbourg, the “capital of Christmas”, has hosted the Christkindelsmärik, one of the oldest Christmas markets in Europe, since 1570, on Place Broglie and at the foot of the cathedral. The giant Christmas tree on Place Kléber, the Petite France quarter and the illuminated streets immerse your group in the magic of Advent. The next day, Colmar reveals its half-timbered houses, Little Venice and its various Christmas markets, from Place des Dominicains to the Ancienne Douane. Alsatian mulled wine, bredele biscuits, gingerbread and kougelhopf accompany these two days.

Programme

Day 1 : Strasbourg, capital of Christmas

  • Morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive to Alsace, with regular stops along the way.
  • Arrival in Strasbourg in the early afternoon.
  • Guided tour of the Grande Île: Notre-Dame Cathedral, Place Kléber and Petite France (on request).
  • Free time at the Christkindelsmärik on Place Broglie and at the markets around the cathedral.
  • Discovery of the giant illuminated Christmas tree on Place Kléber.
  • Group dinner in a winstub (on request).
  • Check-in at the hotel.

Day 2 : Colmar and Little Venice

  • Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Colmar.
  • Guided walk through the old town: the Maison des Têtes, the Koïfhus and Little Venice (on request).
  • Boat trip on the Lauch (on request).
  • Group lunch in an Alsatian restaurant (on request), otherwise free lunch.
  • Free time at the Christmas markets: Place des Dominicains, Place Jeanne-d'Arc, Place de l'Ancienne-Douane and Little Venice.
  • Return journey in the mid-afternoon, with regular stops.
  • Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Good to know

  • Departure and return times are adapted to your group's pick-up point.
  • The opening dates of the Christmas markets vary from year to year and should be checked; weekends are very busy, so we recommend travelling on a weekday.
  • Bring warm clothing and comfortable shoes; each day, the driver gives the meeting point and time for the return to the coach.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
