A 3-day trip to the Christmas markets of eastern France for your group: the illuminated squares of Metz, Place Stanislas in Nancy and the Strasbourg Christkindelsmärik.

This trip brings together three of the most beautiful Christmas cities in eastern France. In Metz, your group moves from one market to the next and discovers Saint-Étienne Cathedral and its stained-glass windows. In Nancy, Place Stanislas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is lit up for the Saint Nicholas festivities, before the group heads on to Strasbourg, the “capital of Christmas”, its Christkindelsmärik and its giant Christmas tree on Place Kléber. Mulled wine, gingerbread, Nancy bergamot sweets and Alsatian bredele biscuits accompany all three days.

Programme

Day 1 : Metz and its Christmas markets

  • Morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive to Lorraine, with a stop along the way.
  • Arrival in Metz in the late morning and free lunch.
  • Guided tour of the historic centre and Saint-Étienne Cathedral (on request).
  • Free time at the Christmas markets: Place Saint-Louis, Place Saint-Jacques, Place de la République and Place de Chambre.
  • Check-in at the hotel.
  • Free evening in the illuminated streets.

Day 2 : Nancy and Place Stanislas

  • Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Nancy.
  • Guided tour of Place Stanislas, Place de la Carrière and the old town (on request).
  • Group lunch in a restaurant in the centre (on request), otherwise free lunch.
  • Free time at the Saint Nicholas market and in the streets decorated for the festivities.
  • Check-in at a hotel in Nancy.
  • Free evening on illuminated Place Stanislas.

Day 3 : Strasbourg, capital of Christmas, and return

  • Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Strasbourg.
  • Guided tour of the Grande Île: Notre-Dame Cathedral, Place Kléber and Petite France (on request).
  • Free time at the Christkindelsmärik on Place Broglie and at the foot of the giant Christmas tree on Place Kléber; free lunch.
  • Return journey in the mid-afternoon, with regular stops.
  • Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Good to know

  • Departure and return times are adapted to your group's pick-up point.
  • The opening dates of the Christmas markets vary from year to year and should be checked; weekends are very busy, so we recommend travelling on a weekday.
  • Bring warm clothing and comfortable shoes; each day, the driver gives the meeting point and time for the return to the coach.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
