A 3-day city trip to Leiden and Haarlem for your group: canals, the botanical garden, Teylers Museum and the Grote Markt.

Leiden, Rembrandt's birthplace and home to the oldest university in the Netherlands, founded in 1575, is best explored along its canals and lanes. Its Hortus botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in Europe, saw some of the country's very first tulips bloom. In Haarlem, your group discovers the Grote Markt, the great Church of St Bavo and its organs, and Teylers Museum, the oldest museum in the Netherlands.

Programme

Day 1 : Journey to Leiden

  • Morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive to South Holland and arrival in Leiden in the late morning.
  • Guided tour of Leiden: the Burcht, the canals and the Rembrandt sites (on request).
  • Check-in at the hotel.
  • Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2 : Leiden, between canals and gardens

  • Visit to the Hortus botanicus (on request).
  • Boat trip on Leiden's canals (on request).
  • Free afternoon: De Valk windmill, the National Museum of Antiquities or the shops in the centre.
  • Group dinner in a restaurant in the centre (on request).

Day 3 : Haarlem

  • Drive to Haarlem, half an hour away.
  • Stroll around the Grote Markt and visit to the Church of St Bavo (on request).
  • Visit to Teylers Museum or the Frans Hals Museum (on request).
  • Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
