2-day city trip to Dordrecht for your group: old harbours, Grote Kerk, the meeting of three rivers and a Biesbosch boat trip.
The oldest city in Holland, Dordrecht stands at the confluence of three rivers, where you can watch the endless procession of barges. Your group discovers its old harbours, its merchants’ houses and the Grote Kerk, whose massive tower dominates the city. Close by, the Biesbosch National Park unfolds a maze of creeks, willow woods and islets, a haven for beavers and waterbirds.
Programme
Day 1: Dordrecht, the city of three rivers
- Morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Drive to South Holland, arriving in Dordrecht around midday.
- Guided walking tour of the old harbours and the historic centre (on request).
- Walk to the Groothoofd, the point where the rivers meet.
- Visit to the Grote Kerk and, for keen walkers, a climb up the tower (on request).
- Check-in at the hotel.
- Group dinner at a harbourside restaurant (on request).
Day 2: Biesbosch National Park
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to the Biesbosch.
- Guided boat trip through the creeks of the national park (on request).
- Visit to the park’s visitor centre and its nature exhibitions.
- Return journey in early afternoon.
- Arrival back in your area in the evening.
