2-day city trip to Breda for your group: Grote Kerk, beguinage, a canal boat trip and the patchwork border of Baarle.

Once the city of the House of Nassau, Breda has kept a lively centre around its Gothic Grote Kerk, along with its canals and a peaceful beguinage. Your group discovers the tomb of Engelbert II of Nassau, passes the castle that houses the Royal Military Academy and strolls around the old harbour. Half an hour away, Baarle-Nassau and Baarle-Hertog offer a unique curiosity: a Belgian-Dutch border that runs through streets, houses and shops.

Day 1: Breda, city of the Nassaus

  • Morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive to North Brabant, arriving in Breda around midday.
  • Guided walking tour of the centre: Grote Markt, Grote Kerk, beguinage and the castle surroundings (on request).
  • Boat trip on Breda’s canals, depending on the season (on request).
  • Free time in Valkenberg Park and around the old harbour.
  • Check-in at the hotel.
  • Dinner at the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2: Baarle, the patchwork border

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Drive to Baarle-Nassau, half an hour away.
  • Guided walk tracing the border that divides the Belgian and Dutch enclaves (on request).
  • Group lunch in Baarle (on request).
  • Return journey in early afternoon.
  • Arrival back in your area in the evening.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
