2-day city trip to Apeldoorn for your group: Het Loo royal palace, baroque gardens, a primate park and the Veluwe forests.
Built for Stadtholder William III, Het Loo Palace served as a residence for the House of Orange for three centuries. Renovated and extended with an underground museum, it presents its royal apartments and its formal baroque gardens, among the finest in the country. In the heart of the Veluwe, Apeldoorn adds forest walks and, for families, Apenheul, where monkeys roam freely among the visitors.
Programme
Day 1: Het Loo Palace
- Morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Drive to Gelderland, arriving in Apeldoorn around midday.
- Visit to Het Loo Palace, its royal apartments and gardens (on request).
- Guided tour of the baroque gardens (on request).
- Stroll through the palace’s wooded park.
- Check-in at the hotel.
- Dinner at the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 2: Apenheul and the Veluwe
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Visit to Apenheul primate park, in season (on request).
- Or a guided walk through the forests and heathland of the Veluwe (on request).
- Return journey in early afternoon.
- Arrival back in your area in the evening.
