2-day city trip to the Land of the Red Rocks for your group: Belval blast furnaces, Esch-sur-Alzette, Train 1900 and Fond-de-Gras mine.
In the south of Luxembourg, the red earth rich in iron ore made the country’s fortune in the 20th century. At Belval, your group climbs a blast furnace preserved in the middle of a modern university district, then discovers Esch-sur-Alzette, the Grand Duchy’s second city. At Fond-de-Gras, the Train 1900 steam train and the little mining train that plunges under the hill bring the miners’ era back to life.
