A 3-day city trip to Echternach and the Mullerthal for your group: the basilica, rock formations, a waterfall and Beaufort's castles.

Nicknamed Luxembourg's Little Switzerland, the Mullerthal region is known for its sandstone formations, narrow gorges and moss-lined streams. Echternach grew up around the abbey founded by St Willibrord, whose hopping procession is inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list. Between walks, your group discovers the Schiessentümpel waterfall and the castles of Beaufort.

Programme

Day 1 : Journey to Echternach

  • Morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive to the Grand Duchy and arrival in Echternach in the early afternoon.
  • Guided tour of Echternach, the Basilica of St Willibrord and the former abbey (on request).
  • Check-in at the hotel.
  • Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2 : Luxembourg's Little Switzerland

  • Guided walk along a section of the Mullerthal Trail, among rocks and gorges (on request).
  • Stop at the Schiessentümpel waterfall and its little stone bridge.
  • Visit to the castles of Beaufort, the medieval castle and the Renaissance château (on request).
  • Group dinner in a local inn (on request).

Day 3 : Echternach Lake

  • Walk around Echternach Lake or free time on the Market Square.
  • Tasting of regional Luxembourg produce (on request).
  • Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Good to know

  • Departure and return times adapted to the pick-up point chosen by your group.
  • A valid identity card is required for every traveller, including children.
  • The Mullerthal trails pass between rocks and through narrow, sometimes slippery passages: walking shoes are essential; a gentler alternative is planned for less confident walkers.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
