A 4-day city trip to Luxembourg for your group: the Chemin de la Corniche, the Bock Casemates, the Grund, the Grand Ducal Palace, Kirchberg and Vianden Castle.
Perched on cliffs above the Alzette and the Pétrusse, the old town of Luxembourg and its fortifications are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your group follows the Chemin de la Corniche, goes down into the Grund district and passes the Grand Ducal Palace, before discovering Kirchberg and its European institutions. One day is devoted to Vianden, dominated by its castle above the Our valley.
Programme
Day 1 : Journey to Luxembourg
- Morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Drive to the Grand Duchy and arrival in Luxembourg in the late morning.
- A first walk: Place d'Armes, Place Guillaume II and the Grand Ducal Palace.
- Guided tour of the old town (on request).
- Check-in at the hotel.
- Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 2 : Fortifications and the Grund
- Visit to the Bock Casemates, galleries carved into the rock, depending on the season (on request).
- Walk along the Chemin de la Corniche and down into the Grund.
- Visit to the Cathedral of Our Lady.
- City tour by tourist train (on request).
- Group dinner featuring Luxembourg specialities (on request).
Day 3 : Vianden
- Drive to Vianden, about an hour away.
- Visit to Vianden Castle (on request).
- Chairlift ride above the Our valley, in season (on request).
- Stroll through the little town and past Victor Hugo's house.
- Return to the hotel at the end of the day.
Day 4 : Kirchberg
- Panoramic tour of the Kirchberg plateau: the Philharmonie and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
- Visit to the Dräi Eechelen Museum, in Fort Thüngen (on request).
- Free time in town.
- Arrival back in your region in the evening.
