Luxembourg, Trier and the Saar for groups: the Corniche, the Porta Nigra and Mettlach

Day 1 : Journey to Luxembourg

• Morning departure from the location of your choice.
• Drive to the Grand Duchy and arrival in Luxembourg in the late morning.
• A first walk: Place d'Armes, the Grand Ducal Palace and the Cathedral of Our Lady.
• Guided tour of the old town (on request).
• Check-in at the hotel.
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2 : Fortifications and the Grund

• Visit to the Bock Casemates, depending on the season (on request).
• Walk along the Chemin de la Corniche and down into the Grund.
• City tour by tourist train (on request).
• Group dinner featuring Luxembourg specialities (on request).

Day 3 : Trier

• Drive to Trier, about fifty minutes away.
• Discovery of the Porta Nigra, the Main Market and St Peter's Cathedral.
• Guided tour of Roman Trier: the Basilica of Constantine, the Imperial Baths and the amphitheatre (on request).
• Visit to the Karl Marx birthplace museum (on request).
• Return to the hotel at the end of the day.

Day 4 : The Saar Loop and Mettlach

• Drive to Orscholz and the Cloef viewpoint over the Saar Loop.
• Walk on the Saarschleife treetop walkway (on request).
• In the afternoon, Mettlach: discovery of the former abbey and the Villeroy & Boch visitor centre (on request).
• Cruise on the Saar (on request).

Day 5 : The Moselle and Schengen

• Drive to Schengen and a walk along the Moselle.
• Visit to crémant cellars with tasting (on request).
• Arrival back in your region in the evening.
