2-day city trip to the Upper Sûre Lake for your group: the village of Esch-sur-Sûre, the dam, a solar boat and the nature park.
Nestled in a bend of the Sûre beneath its castle ruins, Esch-sur-Sûre is one of the most picturesque villages in the Grand Duchy. Upstream, the dam created the Upper Sûre Lake, the country’s main drinking water reservoir, surrounded by forests and hills. Your group discovers the nature park and its former cloth mill turned museum, and sails on the lake aboard a silent boat.
Programme
Day 1: Esch-sur-Sûre
- Morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Drive to the west of the Grand Duchy, arriving in Esch-sur-Sûre around midday.
- Guided tour of the village and climb up to the castle ruins (on request).
- Visit to the nature park house and its cloth-making museum (on request).
- Check-in at the hotel.
- Dinner at the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 2: The lake and the dam
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Stop at the Upper Sûre dam and view over the lake.
- Cruise on the lake aboard a solar-powered boat, in season (on request).
- Group lunch by the lake (on request).
- Return journey in early afternoon.
- Arrival back in your area in the evening.
