A 4-day city trip to the Éislek for your group: The Family of Man exhibition in Clervaux, Bourscheid Castle, Esch-sur-Sûre, the Upper Sûre Lake and Wiltz.
The Éislek, the Luxembourg part of the Ardennes, is a land of plateaus and deep valleys dotted with medieval castles. In Clervaux, your group discovers The Family of Man photographic exhibition, inscribed on UNESCO's Memory of the World Register, then the ruins of Bourscheid and the village of Esch-sur-Sûre. The Upper Sûre Lake and Wiltz round off this nature break in the north of the Grand Duchy.
Programme
Day 1 : Journey to Clervaux
- Morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Drive to the north of the Grand Duchy and arrival in Clervaux in the late morning.
- Visit to The Family of Man exhibition, at Clervaux Castle (on request).
- Walk up to St Maurice's Abbey and its panoramic view over the valley.
- Check-in at the hotel.
- Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 2 : Bourscheid and Esch-sur-Sûre
- Drive to Bourscheid and visit to the castle ruins, among the largest in the country (on request).
- In the afternoon, discovery of Esch-sur-Sûre, in a bend of the river, at the foot of its ruined castle.
- Group dinner featuring regional specialities (on request).
Day 3 : The Upper Sûre Lake and Wiltz
- Stop at the Upper Sûre Lake dam.
- Solar boat trip on the lake, in season (on request).
- In the afternoon, discovery of Wiltz and its castle.
- Visit to the Wiltz Brewery Museum (on request).
- Return to the hotel at the end of the day.
Day 4 : Diekirch
- Drive to Diekirch.
- Visit to the National Museum of Military History, devoted to the Battle of the Bulge (on request).
- Stroll through the centre of Diekirch.
- Arrival back in your region in the evening.
