Day trip to Ypres for your group: the In Flanders Fields Museum, the Great War sites and the Last Post ceremony.
Ypres and the Westhoek keep the memory of the First World War alive. The In Flanders Fields Museum, Tyne Cot Cemetery, the preserved trenches and the Menin Gate make for a moving and instructive day, ideal for veterans’ and remembrance associations, social clubs and history enthusiasts. The day ends with the Last Post ceremony, held every evening at 8.00 pm.
Programme
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Arrival in Ypres at around 10.00 am.
- Visit to the In Flanders Fields Museum in the Cloth Hall.
- Free lunch or reserved group lunch (on request).
- Coach tour of the Great War sites: Tyne Cot, trenches, military cemeteries (with a guide on request).
- Free time on the Grote Markt in Ypres and dinner (on request).
- Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate at 8.00 pm.
- Departure from Ypres at around 8.30 pm and return to your area.
