2-day city trip to the Vosges for your group: Lake Gérardmer, the Route des Crêtes, Munster cheese and a sweet factory.
Gérardmer lies on the shores of a mountain lake surrounded by fir forests, which can be explored by boat or on foot. The town is also known for its household linen, woven in the Vosges. The next day, the Route des Crêtes follows the line of the summits and offers sweeping views over Alsace and Lorraine. A farm inn serves the traditional repas marcaire, with Munster cheese made on site, before a stop at a confectionery in the Hautes-Vosges.
Programme
Day 1: Gérardmer and its lake
- Morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Drive to the Vosges, arriving around midday.
- Boat trip on Lake Gérardmer (on request).
- Free time by the lake and in the Vosges linen shops.
- Check-in at the hotel.
- Vosges-style dinner at the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 2: The Route des Crêtes
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Scenic drive along the Route des Crêtes, with stops at viewpoints.
- Traditional repas marcaire at a farm inn (on request).
- Visit to the Confiserie des Hautes-Vosges in Plainfaing (on request).
- Return journey in early afternoon.
- Arrival back in your area in the evening.
