2-day city trip to Troyes for your group: half-timbered lanes, cathedral stained glass and the Maison de l’Outil.

Troyes, the former capital of the Counts of Champagne, has kept an old town shaped like a champagne cork, lined with brightly coloured half-timbered houses. The Ruelle des Chats, the Church of Sainte-Madeleine and the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul tell the story of a city that grew rich on its fairs and its stained glass. The Maison de l’Outil et de la Pensée Ouvrière, housed in a Renaissance mansion, surprises visitors with its collection of handcrafted tools. The trip also leaves time for the city’s factory outlet shops and a taste of the famous andouillette de Troyes.

Day 1: Heading for Champagne

  • Morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive to Troyes, arriving around midday.
  • Guided walking tour of the historic centre: Ruelle des Chats, half-timbered houses and the Church of Sainte-Madeleine (on request).
  • Discovery of the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul and its stained-glass windows.
  • Check-in at the hotel.
  • Champagne-style dinner at a restaurant with andouillette de Troyes (on request).

Day 2: Tools, stained glass and outlet shops

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Visit to the Maison de l’Outil et de la Pensée Ouvrière (on request).
  • Free time at the covered market or in the factory outlet shops.
  • Lunch at your own expense or at a restaurant (on request).
  • Return journey in early afternoon.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
