Day trip to Trier and the Moselle for your group: the Porta Nigra, the Roman baths, the cathedral, then the village of Bernkastel-Kues.
Trier is the oldest city in Germany and its Roman monuments are UNESCO-listed. The Porta Nigra, the Imperial Baths and the cathedral bear witness to two thousand years of history, a few steps from the house where Karl Marx was born. In the afternoon, the coach follows the Moselle to Bernkastel-Kues, a wine village whose market square is lined with half-timbered houses. A Riesling tasting is the perfect end to the day.
Programme
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Arrival in Trier at around 10.30 am.
- Visit to the Porta Nigra, a 2nd-century Roman gate.
- Guided tour of the old town, the cathedral and the Imperial Baths (on request).
- Visit to the Karl Marx House, his birthplace (on request).
- Reserved group lunch (on request).
- Drive along the Moselle to Bernkastel-Kues and free time on the market square.
- Riesling tasting in a wine cellar (on request).
- Departure from Bernkastel-Kues at around 5.00 pm and return to your area in the evening.
