2-day city trip to Speyer and Worms for your group: Romanesque cathedrals, Technik Museum, Jewish sites and Luther’s legacy.

On the banks of the Rhine, Speyer and Worms are among Germany’s oldest cities. Your group discovers Speyer’s Romanesque cathedral, which holds the tombs of emperors, and the Technik Museum, where you can climb aboard a Boeing 747. In Worms, St Peter’s Cathedral, the Luther Monument and the old Jewish cemetery are reminders that these cities, together with Mainz, form the ShUM sites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Programme

Day 1: Speyer, imperial city

  • Morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive to Speyer, arriving around midday.
  • Guided tour of the cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the old town as far as the Altpörtel (on request).
  • Visit to the Jewish Courtyard and its medieval ritual bath.
  • Visit to the Technik Museum: aircraft, locomotives and the Buran space shuttle (on request).
  • Check-in at the hotel.
  • Group dinner featuring Palatinate specialities, with a wine tasting for adults (on request).

Day 2: Worms, Luther and the Nibelungs

  • Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Worms.
  • Guided tour of Worms: St Peter’s Cathedral, the Luther Monument and the old Jewish cemetery (on request).
  • Visit to the Nibelungen Museum, devoted to the famous legend (on request).
  • Return journey in early afternoon.
  • Arrival back in your area in the evening.

  • A valid identity card is mandatory for each participant.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
