Day 1 : Journey to Munich

Day 2 : Journey to Bled

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive via Salzburg and the Karawanks Tunnel.
• Arrival in Bled in the early afternoon and walk around the lake.
• Crossing by pletna, the traditional boat, to the island and its Church of the Assumption (on request).
• Tasting of kremšnita, Bled's cream cake (on request).

Day 3 : Bohinj and Bled Castle

• Drive to Lake Bohinj, in Triglav National Park.
• Walk to the Savica waterfall.
• Cable car ride up Vogel for the view over the Julian Alps (on request).
• Visit to Bled Castle, perched above the lake (on request).
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 4 : Ljubljana

• Drive to Ljubljana, less than an hour away.
• Guided tour of the centre: Prešeren Square, the Triple Bridge, the Dragon Bridge and Plečnik's Central Market (on request).
• Funicular ride up to Ljubljana Castle (on request).
• Boat trip on the Ljubljanica (on request).
• Free evening along the riverbanks.

Day 5 : Postojna, Predjama and Lipica

• Visit to the Postojna Caves, partly aboard a little train (on request).
• Discovery of Predjama Castle, built into a rock face.
• Visit to the Lipica Stud Farm, home of the Lipizzaner horses (on request).
• Drive to the coast and check-in at the hotel in Piran.
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 6 : Piran and Rovinj

• Stroll through Piran: Tartini Square, Venetian lanes and St George's Church.
• Drive to Croatian Istria.
• Discovery of Rovinj and climb up to the Church of St Euphemia.
• Boat trip along the Rovinj coast (on request).
• Group dinner with Istrian specialities (on request).

Day 7 : Motovun and Opatija

• Drive to inland Istria and Motovun, a hilltop village.
• Tasting of Istrian truffles and olive oil (on request).
• Drive to Opatija and stroll along the Lungomare, beside the sea.
• Check-in at the hotel.

Day 8 : Journey to Salzburg

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive through Slovenia and the Alps, with regular breaks.
• Arrival in Salzburg in the afternoon and stroll along the Getreidegasse to Mozart's Birthplace.

Day 9 : Journey to Würzburg
