Day 1 : Journey to Leipzig

• Morning departure from the location of your choice.
• Drive to Saxony, with regular stops along the way.
• Arrival in Leipzig in the late afternoon and a first walk on Market Square, in front of the Old Town Hall.
• Check-in at the hotel in Leipzig.
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2 : Leipzig, Bach's city

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Guided walking tour of Leipzig's centre (on request).
• Visit to St Thomas' Church, where Bach was cantor and where he is buried.
• Visit to St Nicholas' Church, the starting point of the peaceful demonstrations of 1989.
• Visit to the Bach Museum (on request).
• Stroll through the Mädler Passage and dinner at Auerbachs Keller, the cellar made famous by Goethe's Faust (on request).
• Visit to the Monument to the Battle of the Nations (on request).

Day 3 : Dresden

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Dresden, about an hour and a half away.
• Guided walking tour of the old town: the Frauenkirche, the Zwinger, the Semperoper and the Procession of Princes (on request).
• Walk along the Brühl Terrace, above the Elbe.
• Visit to the Green Vault, the treasury of the princes of Saxony (on request).
• Check-in at the hotel in Dresden.
• Group dinner in a Saxon restaurant (on request).

Day 4 : Meissen and Moritzburg

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Meissen.
• Visit to the Meissen porcelain manufactory and its demonstration workshop (on request).
• Climb up to the Albrechtsburg and the cathedral, overlooking the Elbe.
• In the afternoon, discovery of the Baroque Moritzburg Castle, in the middle of its lake.
• Interior visit of Moritzburg Castle (on request).
• Return to the hotel at the end of the day.

Day 5 : Elbe cruise and return

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Paddle steamer trip on the Elbe, in season (on request).
• Return journey in the late morning, with regular stops.
• Arrival back in your region in the evening.
