Day 4 : The Chianti wine road

• Drive through the Chianti hills.
• Stop at Greve in Chianti and its arcaded square.
• Visit and tasting at a Chianti Classico wine estate (on request).
• Drive through Castellina in Chianti.
• Check-in at the hotel in the Siena area for two nights.
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 5 : Siena and San Gimignano

• Discovery of Siena: Piazza del Campo, the Palazzo Pubblico and the Duomo.
• Guided tour of Siena (on request).
• Afternoon in San Gimignano, the town of medieval towers.

Day 6 : Perugia and journey to Assisi

• Drive to Umbria.
• Discovery of Perugia: Corso Vannucci, the Fontana Maggiore and the Palazzo dei Priori.

Day 7 : Assisi and Spello

Day 9 : Journey to Ticino

• Departure from Umbria and drive north via Florence, Bologna and Milan.

Day 10 : Lugano and return

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Short stroll along the shore of Lake Lugano.
• Return journey via the St Gotthard and Basel, with regular breaks.
