An 8-day tour of the Italian Lakes for your group: Lake Maggiore and the Borromean Islands, Lake Como and Bellagio, Milan, Lake Garda and Sirmione, Verona, with stopovers in Lucerne.
At the foot of the Alps, the great lakes of northern Italy offer a mild climate, villas with lush gardens and colourful villages by the water. Your group sails to the Borromean Islands on Lake Maggiore and discovers Bellagio on Lake Como and Sirmione on Lake Garda. Milan and its cathedral, then Verona and its Roman arena complete the tour, with a stopover in Lucerne, on the shores of Lake Lucerne, on both the outward and return journeys.
Programme
Day 1 : Journey to Lucerne
- Early-morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Drive to Switzerland, with regular stops along the way.
- Arrival in Lucerne in the late afternoon and a walk to the Chapel Bridge.
- Check-in at a hotel in the Lucerne area.
- Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 2 : The Gotthard and Lake Maggiore
- Drive to Italy via the Gotthard.
- Arrival in Stresa, on the shore of Lake Maggiore, in the early afternoon.
- Walk along the Stresa waterfront, facing the Borromean Islands.
- Check-in at a hotel in the Stresa area.
- Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 3 : The Borromean Islands
- Boat crossing to the Borromean Islands (on request).
- Visit to the palace and terraced gardens of Isola Bella (on request).
- Walk on Isola dei Pescatori, the fishermen's island.
- Return to the hotel.
- Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 4 : Lake Como and Bellagio
- Drive to Lake Como.
- Discovery of Como, its cathedral and its lakeside promenade.
- Cruise on Lake Como to Bellagio (on request).
- Walk through the stepped lanes of Bellagio.
- Check-in at a hotel in the Como area.
- Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 5 : Milan
- Drive to Milan.
- Guided walking tour of the centre of Milan (on request).
- Discovery of the Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and Piazza della Scala.
- Visit to Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper at Santa Maria delle Grazie (on request).
- Drive to Lake Garda and check-in at a hotel in the Sirmione area.
- Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 6 : Sirmione and Lake Garda
- Discovery of Sirmione, its Scaliger castle surrounded by water and the Grottoes of Catullus.
- Cruise on Lake Garda (on request).
- Free time by the lake.
- Farewell group dinner (on request).
Day 7 : Verona and journey to Lucerne
- Drive to Verona and discovery of the arena, Piazza delle Erbe and Juliet's House.
- Guided walking tour of Verona (on request).
- In the early afternoon, drive to Switzerland, with stops along the way.
- Check-in at a hotel in the Lucerne area.
- Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 8 : Return
- Return journey in the morning, with regular stops along the way.
- Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Good to know
- Departure and return times adapted to the pick-up point chosen by your group.
- A valid identity card or passport is required for every participant; Switzerland uses the Swiss franc, Italy the euro.
- The Last Supper must be booked several weeks in advance, with a limited number of places per time slot. In the centres of Milan and Verona, the group is dropped off and picked up nearby.
